ABOUT THE CHAMBER

The Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary organization of the business and professional community.  It is a private, not-for-profit, tax-paying corporation that unites hundreds of businesses and professionals.  It acts as a unique central agency with the purpose of improving and developing the community.

The Chamber of Commerce is the organization which unites, guides, supports and promotes it's members engaged in business, industry, agriculture and tourism, and through private enterprise, creates a better quality of life for all citizens of Hawkinsville and Pulaski County.

 

INVESTMENT BENEFITS

REFERRALS:  When the Chamber receives inquiries regarding business or professionals in Pulaski County, CHAMBER members are referred FIRST!

TOURISM:  Chamber members have the opportunity to promote their businesses through special events that occur throughout the year.

CARD/BROCHURE DISPLAY:  Chamber members can display their business cards and brochures in the Chamber Office.

INFORMATION:  The chamber can provide the latest facts on business trends, population, demographics, and general economic data.   All of this is available to members at no charge.

RIBBON CUTTING and GROUND BREAKING:  The Chamber staff can assist your company and carrying out these publicity functions.

NETWORKING:  Members have monthly opportunities to network and develop new business contacts with fellow Chamber members through our varied meeting opportunities.

MEMBERSHIP DIRECTORY:  Chamber members are listed in an annual directory, which is distributed throughout the country.  Directories are available to members at no charge.

WEB LINK:  Chamber members are able to link their websites with the Hawkinsville Chamber website, which gets hundreds of hits per week.

WORKSHOPS:  The Chamber provides sporadic workshops on several different issues.   Workshops are often free for Chamber members.

INSURANCE:  Currently, the Chamber offers insurance through Blue Cross, Blue Shield.  ONLY Chamber members are eligible.

SPECIAL EVENTS:  By sponsoring and assisting with community events, such as the Christmas Parade, Harness Festival, and others, the Chamber promotes our community and attracts visitors.

SMALL BUSINESS CONSULTATION:  The Chamber services the needs of the local business community through its affiliation with the UGA Small Business Development Center.  As a Georgia First Stop Business Information Center, the Chamber can provide necessary information to businesses.

CHAMBERCHECKS:  The Chamber services the needs of the local business community through providing gift certificates that can be purchased in most any denomination and can be used throughout Pulaski County.
